Keynote lecture title:Polymer Geogrid GeoStructures: from concept to perfection through lessons learnt and good practice

Ir. Chaido Doulala-Rigby is a Chartered Engineer (CEng), a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers (FICE), a Member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (MHKIE), and the first non-military engineer to become a Fellow of the Institution of Royal Engineers (FInstRE) in May 2018. Yuli has 30+ experience in geotechnical engineering, more than half of which is with geosynthetics. Yuli started her career as a tunnelling engineer for the Jubilee Line Extension Underground Line in London, after which she moved and worked as a Geotechnical Engineer in Hong Kong for 10 years. Upon her return to the UK some 18 years ago, she joined Tensar, the British inventor of polymer geogrid technology used to reinforce and stabilise earth, overseeing projects in the UK, Europe, Middle East, and Asia Pacific. Yuli has served as a past Chair of the UK Chapter of the International Geosynthetics Society (IGS). She is currently the Vice Chair of the British Geotechnical Association (BGA) and an Appointed Board Member of the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE). Yuli has authored, co-authored and presented, several publications about practical applications of reinforced and stabilised soil around the world.
